Vicki Morganti is the owner of Realign Counselling in Surrey, she began her counselling career nearly twenty years ago after originally working as a Reiki and Karuna practitioner.
As a counsellor Vicki initially worked with adults via GP and hospital referrals through various agencies and in a private psychiatric clinic with people experiencing high levels of anxiety and depression. In an effort to understand how problems develop and shape us as adults, Vicki began an MA in Play therapy and developed a passion for the earliest years of life and parenting. Due to working in various roles with children and families, she later transferred onto and gained an MA in Early Childhood Studies. Vicki's counselling continues to focus on child and family wellbeing, working with adults, parents, teenagers and children.
Along with counselling, Vicki has had other varied working roles over the past fifteen years in education, youth services and early years settings and has worked in partnership with many other professionals in social services, health services, family support services and various charities, organisations, independent professionals and local authorities that engage and support families in need. Most recently Vicki was the manager for four years of a busy children's centre in Surrey for families with children aged 0-11. Vicki therefore has a wealth of experience working with adults, children, and young people and the organisations that support them. Vicki now works solely as a counsellor, kids and teens confidence and life skills coach and *professional supervisor for (*Surrey County Council early years workforce).
Vicki's counselling approach today has been influenced by many great psychologists, psychotherapists, educationalists and motivational speakers over the years such as Carl Rogers, Maslow and Jung, Virginia Axline, Froebel, Steiner, Dr Wayne W Dyer, Esther Hicks/Abraham, Louise Hay, Caroline Myss, Eckhart Tolle, Brene Brown to name just a few! as well as Solution Focussed coaching and Mindfulness techniques. This inspired Vicki to create her own approach called 'positive alignment therapy' which focuses on enabling individuals to realign with their true self. It’s a powerful, challenging and yet empowering approach which has brought about positive and lasting change for many adults, teenagers and children helping to shift relationships, family dynamics and lifestyles.
Vicki currently lives in Surrey with her husband and four children; two boys in their early 20's and two girls under 11.
